Bees, especially native bees are so important to our environment. The blue banded bee aka the Amegilla are about 11 mm long and have bands of blue fur across their black abdomens. They are solitary bees and are known for buzz pollination.
They are made from die struck gold plated iron, cast with soft enamel and finished with a rubber backing (which provides a very solid fastening and is comfortable on your skin). It is part of the Patch Press Australiana flora and fauna series.
